Discuss the importance of audience analysis and audience adaptation in the speech development process. Also discuss how you plan on using audience ana
Audience analysis is very important while you are giving a presentation. While giving a presentation, you should always look up and look at the audiences reaction to make sure that you are giving a good speech and that they are engaged. I always look to see if they are keeping eye contact with me. Some good reinforcers are if the audience is nodding along with what you say or if they smile and look engaged. A few bad signs would be if they are nodding off, talking to their neighbors, or frowning at you. It also never hurts when they laugh at a cheesy joke you throw in your speech. You should always analyze what kind of audience your are presenting to. This depends on their age, sex, and ethnicity. This also connects to audience adaptation. You must make sure that you adapt to the demographic of the audience. This means that you should format your speech and information to what would best interest your audience. If you are giving a speech to a bunch of teenagers, you want to make sure the way you talk and your subject matter would appeal to them. If you were talking to a group of business men, you want to make sure that you are more formal, as compared to talking to a group of teenagers. There also psychographic information. This means that you adapt to the audiences beliefs and views. By knowing these, you can easily mold your speech to better suit them. This way, they feel intrigued. Audience analysis and adaptation are very important when giving presentations.
