The speech on light pollution was very persuasive. I like how she always kept eye contact and connected with the audience. She stuttered a bit in the beginning, but she pushed through it and gained confidence as she went on with her speech. That is something I learned from her because when I mess up during a speech i usually lose my confidence and have problems gaining it back. She was also very organized with the way she presented her ideas. She first stated the problem she was addressing then went on explaining her different ideas on it.
From the second video, I really liked how he used an example to engage the audience at the beginning. It was a creative idea that drew the audience's attention to him and made them interested in his speech. He also started off by giving an outline about what he was going to talk about in his speech. He used an overhead to show his statistics which gave the audience a visual aid. He had a very strong conclusion which made clear what his whole topic was about and wrapped it up.
